About the log

I'm Max. This is where I keep the receipts for every heavy-metal show I put my body through — the thrash, the death, the doom, the power, the stadium hair-metal reunions I'll never admit to loving. Part live log, part map, part shrine to loud guitars.

So far that's 12 shows conquered and 32 more on the calendar, spanning 33 bands, 33 venues, and 14 cities — mostly California and the Las Vegas runs, with the odd road trip thrown in.

Every show is browsable on the map, in the full shows list, and band by band under bands. Attended shows carry a star rating; upcoming ones just carry anticipation.
