Cattle Decapitation is an American deathgrind band from San Diego, California, formed in 1996. Originally founded in 1996, Cattle Decapitation's songs protest the mistreatment and consumption of animals, the abuse of the environment and touchy subjects such as misanthropy and genocide of the human race. Much of their music is based on putting humans in the situations that animals are subjected to (animal testing, slaughter, etc.).

Death Angel formed in the San Francisco Bay Area in 1982, becoming one of the standout second-wave Bay Area thrash metal bands with their aggressive, technical 1987 debut 'The Ultra-Violence.' Led by vocalist Mark Osegueda and guitarist Rob Cavestany, the band remains active with one of the most stable lineups of its career, touring through 2026.

Exodus is an American thrash metal band formed in 1979 in Richmond, California. Their current lineup consists of guitarists Gary Holt and Lee Altus, bassist Jack Gibson, drummer Tom Hunting, and lead vocalist Steve "Zetro" Souza. There are no original members left in Exodus other than Hunting, who has departed from the band twice, in 1989 and 2004, but rejoined in 2007. Exodus is also notable for being guitarist Kirk Hammett's band before he left in 1983 to join Metallica as Dave Mustaine's replacement.

Cannibal Corpse is an American death metal band from Buffalo, New York. Formed in 1988, the band has released twelve studio albums, one box set, and one live album. Throughout the years the band has been established, they have had little radio or television exposure, although a cult following began to build behind the group with the release of albums such as 1991's Butchered at Birth and 1992's Tomb of the Mutilated which both reached over one million in worldwide sales by 2003, including 558,929 in the United States by 2003, making them the top-selling death metal band of all time in the US.

Candlemass is an influential Swedish doom metal band established in Stockholm 1984 by bassist, songwriter and bandleader Leif Edling. After releasing five full-length albums and touring extensively throughout the 1980s and early 1990s, Candlemass disbanded in 1994, but reunited three years later. After breaking up again in 2002, Candlemass reformed in 2004 and have continued to record and perform since then.

The venue★ Landmark

Dynamo Open Air is a festival in the Netherlands that was held (almost) every year between 1986 and 2005. It was reborn in 2008 as Dynamo Outdoor and in 2015 as Dynamo Metal Fest.
Dynamo Open Air was originally held in 1986 to celebrate the fifth anniversary of the Dynamo rock club in Eindhoven. It began with 5,000 people in the Dynamo parking lot. From 1988 to 1992, it was held at a local ice rink with 22,000 capacity. In 1993, the festival was moved to the Eindhoven military airport (Vliegbasis Welschap). In 1994, it became a three-day festival. In 1995, Dynamo Open Air reported 118,000 attendees. To this day, it is still the largest multi-day open air festival ever held in the Netherlands. This caused too much pressure on the Dutch infrastructure, leading to some of the longest recorded traffic jams in the history of the Netherlands. The lines to drive in were so long that people infamously barbecued bratwursts on the highway. As a result, the municipality forced the festival to limit its capacity to 60,000 in 1996. In 1998, the festival site and the airport had to be moved in order to build 6,000 new houses. The festival site is now the Eindhoven residential area of Meerhoven. The festival returned to the ice rink in 1998, with a halved capacity of 30,000. In 1999, it was held at Mierlo, but it was located next to a garbage dump with a noticeable odor, and the parking situation was insufficient. So it moved again in 2000 to the Goffertpark in Nijmegen.
