A flexible, all-ages room in a former garment factory at 1720 East 16th Street, in the warehouse district east of downtown Los Angeles — “the pre-gentrified war zone of the Warehouse District”, as co-owner Brett Powell has described the block. Alex Alereza, Powell and Travis Richter opened it as a room that could be rearranged rather than a club with one fixed shape: high ceilings, exposed pipe and steel beams, and no décor to speak of.

The booking runs from punk, hardcore and metal through hip-hop, electronic and indie, and the main room changes with it — a tight pit for the heavy nights, a wide floor for the dance ones. For touring extreme music it has become one of the more dependable stops in Los Angeles.
